A message from our Director:
1 out of 3 families in the District of Columbia experience food insecurity. Children, seniors, parents doing their best to provide for their families, working class, immigrants, those with disabilities, the list goes on. Hunger is no respecter of persons. At Crowder Owens Food Bank, we are committed to meeting the basic needs of our community by providing free groceries to families on a weekly basis. With the cost of food rising significantly, we have seen the number of those in need also rise. In the last quarter of 2022, we provided groceries to over 25,000 people. We are honored to serve our community in this capacity and could not do it without the support of our local church, donors and volunteers.
